Columbia Power Technologies, Inc. was formed in 2005 by Greenlight Energy Resources, Inc. From the beginning, we’ve focused on delivering a floating, offshore solution that our customers want to buy; one that is survivable and cost-effective with the lowest environmental impact possible.

Columbia Power’s product development team is based in Corvallis, OR. The corporate office is located in Charlottesville, VA. Our team has over 125 years of successful management, operating and engineering experience in energy, early stage and Fortune 500 companies.

A key component of Columbia Power’s product development strategy is to partner with world-class engineering, design and manufacturing partners. This extended team of supply chain partners is second-to-none and, in their respective industries, represent some of the most experienced companies worldwide.

Our Management Team

kenKen Rhinefrank – VP of Research

Mr. Rhinefrank studied Electrical Engineering at Oregon State University, where he worked on linear generator modeling, design, and analysis, the development of magnetic direct-drive mechanisms, fundamental concepts in wave energy extraction, ocean test site selection and permitting. He also had primary project management responsibilities for the design and installation of the advanced linear test bed. Prior to his graduate work, Mr. Rhinefrank spent 15 years in the design, installation, and repair of automated industrial controls systems with HP and Applied Theory. Prior to that he served for eight years in the Navy, where he served on two nuclear powered submarines and worked as Engineering Watch Supervisor and on the reactor controls instrumentation.

bradBradford Lamb – President & COO.

Mr. Lamb has 30 years of sales and sales management experience. Previously as a co-founder, he served as President & COO of InteLex Corporation, a trusted-source provider of online academic research in over 40 countries since 1995. Prior to InteLex, he spent ten years with GE Medical Systems, in both the US and Asia, where he held posts in sales and sales management of the full line of capital medical diagnostic imaging equipment.  Mr. Lamb received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and currently serves as Co-Chair of the Ocean Renewable Energy Coalition Permitting Committee.

reenstReenst Lesemann – CEO

Mr. Lesemann has 25 years of operational, executive and financial experience in his career. Prior to Columbia Power, he co-founded a seed and early stage venture fund, Tall Oaks Capital Partners, where he served as Managing Director and CFO. He has run a series of successful businesses, including a maritime logistics spin off, TradeSource, Inc. that he created, led and managed. During his career, he has been responsible for all aspects of business management including strategic planning, marketing, and information services. Mr. Lesemann’s customers ranged from Fortune 50 to small businesses and were located in over 20 countries. Mr. Lesemann graduated from the University of North Carolina with a B.A. in History (Honors). He also holds a MBA from the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business.
